used to locate a person whose address is unknown. Examples of these techniques
may include contacting an endorser (e.g., to locate a borrower), a borrower
(e.g., to locate an endorser or comaker), a relative, a reference, individuals,
entity identified in a borrower's loan file, Directory Assistance or a comparable
database; attempting to contact the person by calling the last known telephone
number; performing a social security number search via credit report; reviewing
city directories; processing information contained on a current credit report;
or checking with a state licensing agency, a trade association, or a division
of motor vehicles.
